Are Some in the Church too Busy Judging Others?

Why are there so many judgemental people in the church today? Are we following the scriptures? The scriptures let us know that we should fight apostacy, sin, and we should mark those who sow discord among the brethren. However; we are not on loan as a second cousin or Associate Judge from God to pass out judgement on the ministries of others that are bringing thousands to Christ. I will submit that we are living in a day that there are so many things going on in the Body of Christ that need to be reeled in, but God has not appointed anyone or any group to be Super Judge, that is an office that he reserves totally for himself! When a leader of a congregation is attacked via the web, many of the harmless sheep that follow that individual are harmed in the process. I am not sure that many of those who are claiming a call to be God’s voice crying in the wilderness of the World Wide Web are all that they profess to be. How can one dedicate an entire website to discrediting other ministries, while not spending half a page trying to save a soul from Hell? Should some of us be just a tad less judgemental? Let’s use the scriptures as a guide in the answering of that question. The Scriptures record in the Gospel according to St. Matthew Chapter 7 verses 1-61 Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.  Could it be that some of us who are quick to pass judgement on others in the church, need to sweep around our own front doors before we sweep around the front doors of others? Do you remember the sheer multitude of sins that God had to forgive, if he was just forgiving you?
