  8. Mr. Davis, There is power in prayer!!! My brother and his children went thru the same loss on November 15, 2004. My sister-in-law was one of my best friends. It’s hard at first but I remembered I promised her I would help my brother raise their kids. God continues to give us all that we need to remember them and then smile. And yes, it is okay to cry. Keep the windows open!!!! A faithful listener, even when the car radio was broken. Bridget Johnson

  17. Brother Michael A. Davis,
My heart goes out to your entire family, especially to you and your children. I can only imagine what a great loss you are going through. But be encouraged my brother that you are not alone. The prayers of the righteous availeth much and the LORD GOD is with you. HE sits high and looks low and HE knows just what you are going through as well as what you need to help pull you through. You will come out on the other side, all in HIS time. The LORD GOD has blessed you to be such an endearing spirit on the air and in person. You’ve always made it quite clear how much you love your wife Sister Vera Davis and I for one found that to be a beautiful thing. You should be proud to have lived such a loving example before your children in a day and time when men have become such lovers of themselves. The WORD tells us to rejoice at the homegoing of our loved ones and also that to be absent from the body is to be present with the LORD! What a beautiful place for a Christian to to be. How could we not look forward to that wonderful day? So blessed are we as Christians that we get to be born twice so that we can have eternal life where we can see our loved ones again! I started listening to you when you were on AM Radio and loved your zeal for CHRIST so much that I followed you to FM. I’ve attended many Gospel Gatherings over the years and have always looked forward to whatever you had to say next. I once heard you say that, “Earth has no sorrow that HEAVEN can’t heal”. That was such a profound blessing to me at that time and now I pass that blessed WORD back to you! Let not your heart be troubled and cast all of your cares upon the LORD GOD. HE has so richly blessed you with the ability to carry HIS light forth, so that people may see HIM in you. So I say to you my brother in CHRIST, may the LORD GOD continue to bless and keep you and yours as you continue to shine HIS WORD so brightly that those who have not yet found HIM, can, and those who know HIM will have a light to guide them through as life’s storms come and Go!

  18. Michael,

From my heart to yours: “Cast thy burden upon the Lord and He will sustain thee;” Do you remember when you first introduced me to Vera? It was in Home Depot several years ago. You said something like, “this is my wife, Vera. Go on, tell her what a wonderful student I was at Humes Jr. High School ! Then, as time passed and I’d listen to you and your fellow 95.7 radio hosts quip about your enthusiasm for ‘catching a sale’ on something like some nails, I couldn’t help but smile to myself thinking that that particular day might have been one of those excurstions. Then, during the radio interview,
some days after Vera’s homegoing, your testimony about your schizophrenic ability to continue to do what you do on a daily basis: encourage, uplift and brighten up someone else’s day while going through your own personal trial. I say to you Michael Adrian Davis, that it was and is, a Godly ability, a Godly strength and tenacity that caused you to persevere, hold on and walk on, by faith. Let that ability sustain you now and in the days ahead. I am ever praying for you and your family.
