The God that Still Heals!

God is still a healer. There is not a disease or condition that he can not heal. For the next several months we will post scriptures on divine healing. The enemy has released such an arsenal of ailments and diseases on the Body that many believers are in need of divine healing. There are many people who hardly care about healing until they are in need of one.

God can still heal you! The following scriptures will attest to the fact that we serve a God that can heal all of our infirmities. Hebrews 13:8 states-Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today, and for ever. The same God that healed on yesterday is the same God that can heal you on today and on tommorow!

Healing was not an obscure Bible concept. Healing was an integral part of the ministry of Jesus Christ and the ministry of many who were used by God in the Holy Writ as attested by the following scriptures. God can heal whatever ails you! If you can have it, God can heal it! I humbly submit that the God that I serve is still a healer.

Isaiah 53:4-53:5-Surely he hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Matthew 4:23-And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manners of sickness and all manners of disease among the people.

Matthew 4: 24-And his fame went throughout all Syria and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with disease and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.

Matthew 8:14-8:17-And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother laid, and sick of fever. And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them. When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and he healed all that were sick. That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying Himself took our infirmities and bare our sicknesses.
Matthew 9:35-And Jesus went about all their cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

Matthew 10:6-10:8-But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as ye go, preach sayinjg, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Matthew 14:14-And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them and he healed their sick.

Luke 4:18-4:19-The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Luke 9:11-And the people, when they knew it, followed him and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.

3 John 1:2-Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

  1. Pastor Stephen I’m really haveing a hard time. We believe that God doesnt want us sick and that we are healed by His stripes. But if that isso (and I believe it is) why did bishop patterson die when he hadn’t even made it to 70 years old yet? PLease anser on your sight becasues I’m real sure other people have the same question. It would be a blessing. KEep up the wonderful work you are doing!

  2. Tyrone, I would say that Bishop Patterson is Healed. He has gone to a place where there is no death, no trouble, no crying, no sorrow, no curse, and no weeping nor wailing. Bishop Patterson has gone to the place that the Lord has prepared for him. The 70 years promised in Psalm 90 is not the last stand that the scriptures took on our life expectancy. The Book of James stated that our lives are as a vapor. Life is fleeting. Bishop Patterson lived a wonderful life and he left us a wonderful example lets glory in the fact that he has entered into the Rest of the Lord!
